Markus Wohlgeschaffen, Head of Global Trade Finance & Services, has been nominated Vice-Chair of the Global Trade Industry Council (GTIC)
Markus Wohlgeschaffen, Head of Global Trade Finance & Services, has recently been nominated Vice-Chair of the Global Trade Industry Council (GTIC) against strong competition from other banks.
The GTIC focuses on standardized product definitions, consistent, complete and transparent data, and standardized documentation supporting trade finance, to work more collaboratively towards a common goal on behalf of the global trade industry in a way that leverages organizational strengths and minimizes overlaps.
It is a leadership council within the BAFT-IFSA, the leading international transaction banking association, providing advocacy, thought leadership, education and training, and a global forum for its members in the areas of trade finance, payments, compliance, and regulations.
It was formed by the merger of the Bankers' Association for Finance and Trade (BAFT) and the International Financial Services Association (IFSA). As a committed participant in the group this nomination is a reflection of Markus Wohlgeschaffen’s recognition and dedication to contribute to the industry.
